Location and Population Make Greater St. Louis a Great Logistics Hub for GENCO
When Hershey and Unilever need to deliver the goods – across the country and around the world – they turned to GENCO for logistics coordination, and to the Gateway Commerce Center in Madison County, Ill., as the ideal location for regional and national distribution. Edward Ehrenberger, facility manager at GENCO, says the St. Louis region has all three major ingredients necessary for distribution: major transportation lanes running north to south and east to west; abundant, affordable land ready for development; and a large work force that’s skilled and hard-working. Says Ehernberger: “The St. Louis area is a perfect location for a regional or national distribution facility.”
