Marketing/Branding Campaign


In September 2005, the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association (RCGA) kicked off a five-year economic development marketing and branding campaign, called Greater St. Louis Inc.

The campaign seeks to provide services and raise awareness of Greater St. Louis in a way that encourages businesses to locate and expand here. By communicating why the St. Louis region is a desirable place in which to live and invest, the campaign also seeks to assist area companies in their efforts to generate capital and to attract and retain talent.

In addition to marketing and branding, Greater St. Louis Inc. provides companies with a full range of assistance in site selection, information and research, and network access to meet their relocation, startup, or expansion needs.

Key goals and aspects of the campaign are:

  • Strong emphasis on branding, marketing, deal flow, and deal-making.
  • Rigorous performance measures and communicating results.
  • Streamlined governance structure for regional economic development.
  • Revitalized regional economic development network.
  • Funding at a level competitive with other regions.
