New Talent Reports Available
The RCGA has recently released two reports that complement the regional economic development campaign with a strategy to strengthen the pool of skilled talent available to area companies. Both reports are available in electronic and hard copy formats.
Talent: the Future of Metro St. Louis in the Knowledge Economy is a 110-page document that focuses on workforce challenges and opportunities in three economic clusters: financial and information services, health science and services, and sustainable technologies. It provides an abundance of charts and graphs documenting talent capacity and needs, and puts forward an original three-part framework for future talent development. This report will be of interest to business and human resource professionals, entrepreneurs, economic developers, educators, job training organizations, and career / workforce development specialists.
St. Louis at Work: a 24-HourSnapshot tells the story of work in the targeted economic clusters through narratives describing 12 diverse St. Louis area residents who are performing a range of jobs that keep our economy going. Original infographics accompany the narratives and tie the stories to the larger Talent report. This report will be of particular interest to job-seekers, post-secondary students, community-based organizations, and career / workforce counselors. It can be used in group settings as a discussion tool.
